About Student Visa
With this visa, any student is able to apply for a variety of full-time programmes, including higher education, vocational education and training (VET) courses, English language intensive courses for overseas students (ELICOS), admission to elementary or secondary school, and postgraduate research qualifications at a recognised educational institution.
Criteria For Obtaining a Visa:
ENROLL IN A RECOGNISED COURSE OF STUDY: A course of study must be enrolled in by applicants and be included on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
FINANCIAL ABILITY: In order to be qualified to pay for their course fees and the living expenses of their dependent family members, applicants must be able to demonstrate their financial capacity in court.
PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH: If you fail to submit proof of your English language proficiency with your visa application or when asked by an officer, your application will be rejected.
ALL STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 HAVE CAREFULLY MONITORED WELFARE ARRANGEMENTS:
To stay in Australia, students under the age of 18 must provide proof of formal welfare arrangements.
FAMILY MEMBERS TRAVELING WITH YOU: Families of applicants may submit a single request for a student visa, or they may submit separate applications to join them later. It is crucial to have the money available to support the accompanying family members residing in Australia as well as those who will be living there once the student visa has been granted (such as new born baby).
AUTHENTIC TEMPORARY ENTRY PREREQUISITE: This provision provides a safety net to ensure that the student visa programme is utilised as intended and not just for a short visit to Australia.
HEALTH AND PERSONALITY: As part of the visa application procedure, applicants must go through medical exams. The time required to finish this could be several weeks. Additionally, the applicants must respond to a few character-related questions that will be used to judge their moral character.
OVERSEAS STUDENT MEDICAL COVERAGE:: Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) is a requirement, and applicants must get it a week before their scheduled arrival in Australia.
